1 June 2021 our P.I., Dr. István Hernádi (head of the Grastyán E. Translation Research Centre, head of the Translational Neuroscience Research group at the Szentágothati Research centre and head of Department of Experimental Zoology and Neurobiology at the Faculty of Sciences, University of Pécs) has been selected to be one of the leaders of the Hungarian Neuroscience Society (MITT). The society is the leading professional organization of neuroscientists in the country, and is an active member of Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS). The University of Pécs is represented with a significant number of members in the society, including the Centre for Neuroscience that contains over 30 research groups at the moment. The main goals of the society include the support of innovation in research, advocation of the advancement of the next generation's neuroscientists.
